HUMANS ARE NATURE TOO

Caroline Barneaud and Stefan Kaegi are co-authors of the Shared Landscapes project, which, after high-profile performances in Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria and Italy, came to life in Slovenia at the end of August. Their concept brings together seven performances between fields and forests, created by artists from different countries. "What if the landscape were a theater?" they ask together with them and, of course, the spectators, who lined up in Koseški boršt on the northwestern edge of Ljubljana, as many as 460 of them, over the course of four days.

Ai primi di giugno del 2024 ZONA K e il Piccolo Teatro di Milano - Teatro d'Europa hanno presentato nel Parco delle Groane Paesaggi Condivisi, una rassegna di proposte artistiche sul tema del paesaggio di cui gli spettatori, camminando attraverso i boschi, i prati e i sentieri del Parco, hanno potuto fare esperienza una dopo l’altra, dal primo pomeriggio al tramonto, senza soluzione di continuità.

Stefan Kaegi and Caroline Barneaud -enablers of the far-reaching project Paysages Partagés- and Emilie Rousset, creator of this segment of the broader project- are dramatising the garden, causing the audience to feel implicated in the choices we must make to husband and constrain plants to serve our needs (as well as their own).

L’expérience
Nous sommes sous les arbres
sur les hauteurs d’un village
la chaleur devient plus supportable
traversée par une brise légère
froissement du vent
dans les feuilles des chênes-verts
un casque sur les oreilles
j’écoute
une conversation croisée
entre un garde-forestier, un enfant, une chanteuse ukrainienne,
un météorologue
Nous sommes allongés.
Certains ferment les yeux. D’autres ont les yeux ouverts.
L’expérience est pour soi.
On fait un cercle. Les mains se tiennent. Une certaine communion.
Parfois, des musiciens surgissent des fourrés
jouent un air
inattendu
puis repartent
aussi discrètement qu’ils sont venus
L’expérience dure 7 heures.
Je n’ai pas vraiment vu le temps passer.
