Concept and curating

Caroline Barneaud has been working in the performing arts for over 20 years, first as part of a company, then for ten years as a producer at the Festival d’Avignon, before joining the management team of the Théâtre Vidy-Lausanne in 2013. As director of artistic and international projects for this theatre dedicated to contemporary creation, she is involved in the conception, programming and production of
artistic projects and collaborates with local and international artists and structures. She is particularly interested in artistic projects that interrogate contemporary society, combine disciplines and fields, explore new formats, and expand the possibilities of the theatre as a place, an institution and an art form.

Stefan Kaegi | Rimini Protokoll

Concept and curating

Stefan Kaegi creates documentary theatre, radio plays, nomadic concepts and projects in urban spaces in a wide variety of constellations, in which animals and even audiences often play a central role. Together with Helgard Haug and Daniel Wetzel, Kaegi works under the label Rimini Protokoll, which has been awarded, among other distinctions, the Silver Lion for Theatre at the Venice Biennale in 2011.
In the last few years, Rimini Protokoll has staged, among others, the tetralogy State 1-4 about the phenomena of post-democracy, the simulation of a World Climate Conference at the Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, the jellyfish installation win<>win and the urban walk Utopolis at the Manchester Festival.

Caroline Barneaud and Stefan Kaegi have been regularly collaborating for more than 15 years, such as on the shows Nachlass (2016), Société under Construction (2019), Temple du présent, solo for octopus (2020) and Utopolis Lausanne (2022).
